IMPORTANT NOTICES
- Recommendation for Change of Club Name:
Yes, you’ve read that correctly. The Board of Directors feels that it is time for a change the name for Charlotte Ski Bees. "Ski Bees" will still be included in the new Club name but we are proposing that the Club be known in the future as “Charlotte Ski & Snowboard Club (Home of the Ski Bees). Most members that Pat has spoken with are fine with this change. Please see the following recommendation and notice of Amendment to Bylaws for our Club:
Our Board of Directors is recommending that the Club name be changed from Charlotte Ski Bees to Charlotte Ski & Snowboard Club (Home of the Ski Bees). This will require an amendment to the Bylaws as follows: “Bylaws of The Charlotte Ski Bees, Inc. d/b/a Charlotte Ski & Snowboard Club (Home of the Ski Bees)”. This change requires a majority vote of the members at a general membership meeting. This article is to serve as notice to all members at least ten (10) days prior to the general membership meeting scheduled for September 13, 2010 at Fuel Pizza, 4267 Park Road, Charlotte, NC, beginning at 7:00 PM.
If you have any questions, please contact Patricia Harvey, President, Charlotte Ski Bees, at pharvey@wcsr.com .
Please send any comments or input you may have prior to the September 13th meeting (meeting details are below). Also, please make plans to attend the September 13th meeting as we will be voting on the name change at that meeting. We are also working on a new website for our Club and we hope to have that rolled out by sometime in October. We are excited about the changes and all of the good and positive things that will be happening for our Club.
- SUBARU VIP Discount Program - Subaru is a proud sponsor of the Crescent Ski Council (CSC) racing program. Part of their sponsorship package this year includes the VIP Discount Program for all CSC members. As a member of the Charlotte Ski Bees, you are also automatically a member of the Crescent Ski Council. Qualifying members of a Crescent Ski Council club can purchase or lease a new Subaru at 2% below dealer cost minus any incentives which are currently being offered. Leasing option for a new Subaru has now been added to the program.
To qualify, you must have been a member of Ski Bees, or other Crescent Ski Council club, for at least six (6) months. If you are interested, please notify Pat Harvey at pharvey@wcsr.com of your intent to participate. Subaru will then mail the VIP information to you which will include information about local dealers participating in the VIP program. Once you have received the information, you can go to a local dealer, pick out the Subaru that you want, the dealer will pull the invoice and let the purchaser know if there are any current incentives. The VIP Program will be in effect through September 30, 2010. Quite a few Crescent members have taken advantage of the VIP Program to date. We hope you will also take advantage of this wonderful benefit to Crescent Ski Council members.
